Greens Restaurant
I went to Greens for Brunch and Dinner. It just so happens that we ended up going there two days in a row. I went there this past Sunday and for some reason it was super crowded. Although we made a reservation we waited over a half an hour to get seated. The brunch menu is a better bargain than Dinner. I had a yummy eggplant sandwich and my boyfriend had a pasta that was like the gourmet version of buttered noodles. It was excellent. For dessert we had a pear pastry with ice cream. The dessert did not come with ice cream but the waitress kindly obliged for a small $1.50 fee. The wait staff was great even though the place was packed.
For dinner I wasn't so impressed as much by the food, although it was very good. I would definitively recommend going during sunset. The view over the water and the Golden Gate bridge as the the sun goes down is surreal. I had some kind of filo pastry with spinich, a side of bean. My boyfriend's ravioli was excellent however. The place was not packed for dinner as the day before for brunch. Although it was a Monday night and the place was still a nice crowd.
I like the idea of a changing menu because you can go back and have different items.

Yabbies
I think I expect too much when I read someone's great review. So my expectations are high going into a place with a good review.
For appetizer I had "one of each" which is one of each oyster kind they had available. All the oysters were small. The meat was the size of a quarter and nothing more to just salt the palate.
I had the ciopinno which was just okay. The sauce wasn't as good as a rich bouillabaisse. It just tasted smoky and spicy. And I needed more salt but I was too lazy to flag down the waitress.
My boyfriend had the sesame seared tuna. It was just "okay". Nothing really special in my opinion. The paring of the vinegar rice made me want to have sushi.
I have to say that the creme brulee was really good. It was smooth and creamy and perfect with the strawberry. The coffee was quite good too for out of the pot.
Overall, it was just "okay". The four of us walked out with a 200.00 for 4 en trees, 2 appetizers, dessert, a bottle of champagne and a few glasses more.
